With reference to Colonial Office letter of 15th

Admy.

April 1896, No. 7172/96, on the subject of the proposed

acquisition of Sharp's property owing to the extension of

the Dockyard at Hong Kong, I am commanded by the Lords

Commissioners of the Admiralty to forward a copy of

Treasury letter of 27th August 1896, No.12733/96 and I am

to request that I may be informed what reply should be

given to the question raised as to Mr Sharp's property in

paragraph 3.
